Meet Nick Mastrogiorgio

Nick Mastrogiorgio is a lifelong resident of Mount Vernon, New York, and a passionate advocate for his community. With deep roots in the city and over two decades of public service, Nick has spent his career working to improve the lives of Mount Vernon residents. Now, he’s running for City Council to bring a fresh perspective, bold leadership, and much-needed accountability to City Hall.
A Career of Service and Leadership
Nick began his career with the Mount Vernon Police Department in 2002, rising through the ranks to become a Lieutenant. In this role, he has not only led officers in serving and protecting the city but has also worked tirelessly to strengthen community relationships and foster trust between residents and law enforcement. His commitment to public safety has always been rooted in a vision of fairness, equity, and respect.
As President of the Mount Vernon Police Association (PBA), Nick has been a steadfast advocate for the hardworking men and women of the department, ensuring they have the resources, training, and support needed to serve the community effectively. His leadership has earned him a reputation as a thoughtful problem-solver and a champion for the city he loves.

Nick’s passion for Mount Vernon extends beyond his work in law enforcement. As a small business owner specializing in website design and internet marketing, he understands the challenges faced by local businesses and the importance of economic development. His experience in IT and marketing has taught him the value of innovation, adaptability, and the power of communication—all qualities he plans to bring to the City Council.
Nick’s campaign is built on the principles of transparency, accountability, and community engagement. He believes that by working together, we can address Mount Vernon’s most pressing issues, including:

When he’s not working or campaigning, Nick enjoys exploring new technologies, traveling, and spending quality time with his family and friends. His deep connection to Mount Vernon’s history and its people fuels his determination to create a brighter future for the city.
